As of midnight last night, www.ecreef.org is 1 year old.
It’s been a very successful year. We've had 19,390 hits on our site and tripled our membership!
This year should be even better! We're planning a Fishing Tournament August 2nd and we will drop our 2nd member’s only reef this year!
If you're not a member of ECRA, there has never been a better time to join! Next month at our social, one of our members will win a deployed Chicken Coop Reef! Membership is only $75.00 per year. (That's only $6.25 per month! Less than the cost of 2 gallons of gas!! What a bargain!)
This summer, we will release the numbers to our first Members Only Reef, a Concrete Mixing Drum. The numbers will be sent via e-mail only once to our paid members. These numbers will never be posted on the forum so only members who are paid at the time of the release will get the numbers. You must allow e-mails from the forum administrator in order to get the numbers so please be sure to go to the User CP panel and make sure you have not blocked admin e-mails.
We will ask our members to report catch data on the member’s only reef to help us evaluate the effectiveness of Concrete Mixing Drums as reef structure.
We will continue to collect Research Data and Data on Public Artificial Reefs in an effort to provide the monitoring necessary to secure more permitted reef deployment areas.
