Need Boat Bottom Painter

The rings are going to have to be re-done on our engine. We are going to have to pull the engine and while that is being done, I would like to get the bottom of our boat painted.

Does anyone have someone they recommend? I'd like someone that does a good job without taking a long time to do it because we'll be paying a per day charge while the boat is out of the water.

As far as I know, there are only two places in the area where you can get it done. The Boat in FWB and Mayhew Marine in Bluewater marina. Dennis at Mayhew marine did mine orginally and again this year. I got 8 years out of the first job he did for me. I thought I had his cell # but I can't find it. Call the marina and they can put you in touch with him. I just saw him at West Marine last week so I know he is still in the area.

I talked to Dennis Mayhew today. His number is 865-5631. I asked him to give me 2 estimates, one if he supplied the paint and another if I supplied the paint. He is going to call me back on that one.

I hope it's not too much $. We are looking at buying a new or rebuilt engine block this week. Ouch! Anyway, this is probably the best time to get the bottom painted while we have to have the boat pulled anyway.
