Speargun Pow-wow session anyone?

Was over at Stone & Candy's place not too long ago... swapping spear stories and spear gear ideas. Candy thought it might be interesting if some of the "slingers" would want to get together some time and bring their guns and gear to compare/share epiphenies and inspirations on modifications and technique.

Sound good to anyone?

I've been doing it for 15 years and would love to see how other people are doing it.

If there's enough interest, may be we can set a time/place.

I think if we get 6 folks, it would be a worth while evening. Next question is where could we get together and have our guns. It might kind of make using a restaurant a little tricky... or maybe not. Thoughts?

You are welcome to bring your guns as long as you don't load them in the house. If you have any cool homemade contraptions bring them along too. Heck, bring anything you feel makes your spearfishing more productive, safer or easier.

Tall tales also welcome.

Yes south of Destin. This is the 3rd one my little dive group has gotten in the last 15 yrs, 75#'s, 112#'s, and this one was around 80#'s. I say around because he didn't weigh him but took measurements and found a site on algores internet that did the conversion so 80ish is accurate.

Notice I said my group ... I have never seen one except for 1st and last one I was in the water when someone else shot 'em.

Always a bridesmaid ....
