Stopped the Barnacle site on 6-16-07. Swung past Barnacle #1 and didn't find it, but didn't look too hard. There was a boat just to the NW that may have been on it. The county coordinates for Barnacle #2 are good. We drifted there for 1/2 hour, but caught nothing to put in the fishbox. Made a pass by #7, the coordinates are good, but did not stay long. These sites are pretty small, so we left looking for something easier to stay on top of.

I've had decent luck with these and Urchin by anchoring and chumming. A hand full of chunks in the beginning and then a chunk every few minutes. There is a group of 4 in the middle. Maybe it's because snapper tend to school around and eventually find me??? As gas prices rise I find myself anchoring more.

Also, I've caught better fish on the west side of Barnacle...the ones nearest Tanks 8 & 9.

Charlie, did you mean Sand Flea instead of Barnacle?

There's a group of 4 in the middle of Sand Flea, but not Barnacle, as far as I know. Also, Tanks 8 & 9 are on the east side of Sand Flea...
