Final word on snapper season?

I heard that the closing date for snapper season was moved from the proposed late July to Aug 15, just like last season. Can any one confirm or deny this?

Looks like a Gulf Council meeting 12-15 Apr.

Are there any rumors afloat concerning the opening for Red Snapper season? Is the Gulf Counsel still supposed to meet in mid April to make a statement?
