Boat looking for divers

Dive season is now in full swing. I'd like to find some dive partners. I've got a boat and plenty of spots but I need some dive buddies. I'd really prefer divers that aren't going to be spearfishing. If you're interested, just reply to this and we'll try to set up some trips.

Rich, I don't dive yet but am curious about your not spear fishing. When you dive are you diving to discover the real wreck, its inhabitants, to enjoy the natural beauty of the fishes in their own environment. I like to think that these are some of the reason I will take it up, but this is still just a dream for me. I would think once you get the oppuritunity to look directly at the reef to see its pieces or how it is laying on the bottom that it would give a better sense of how to fish it from above.

I used to do some spear fishing and I certainly don't have any problem with people that do spear fish. My thing is that too many divers have shark encounters when they are spear fishing. I put enough fish in the freezer via rod and reel so I just don't want that extra 'worry'. And yes, you are very right. Once you go down and start looking at wrecks, reefs, etc, it gives you a whole new appreciation for fishing for them from the surface.

Next weekend is the big 3 day weekend. I know it will be crowded but I'd really like to get some diving in. I just need a crew. Any volunteers??

Rich, Kristin and I have trips planned through the rest of September, but we are available in October if you just tell us when. We don't spearfish and like it that way.

I'm tied up the next two weekends myself. Once Oct starts, I'll mostly concentrate on fishing in the rodeo. But, if we get a decent day or two, I would like to get some more diving in this year. I usually dive thru first part of Nov. Once the water cools off, I hang up the tanks for the year. I REALLY don't enjoy cold water diving. :D

Anyways, I'll post next time I'm looking for divers.
