I had my dad in town for the first time in several months. Never got to even wet a line.

Between the wind and constant threat of rain, pretty much an indoor weekend. Did anyone brave the weather and make it out?

Didn't make it out last weekend. Lucky you are to be able to spend time with your Dad. Mine has been gone for over 30 years. :(
Some of the best memories were times spent fishing. :)

There was a time, not all that long ago, that dad went on every fishing vacation with me. But these days, he doesn't feel comfortable being too far back in the sticks or too far off shore. Makes me nervous too! Time catches up with all of us.

One of the best trips we ever took was to a fly in camp in Canada. The bugs were bad and the fishing was only fair but it was still a great trip! :)

Stone & I got on the water last weekend too and we also spent precious time with our family.

Our time on the water consisted of a water taxi ride to the Rehearsal Dinner for our Son & his wonderful bride and then again at the Cummer Museum on the waterfront in Jacksonville for the Wedding Reception.

We had the time of our lives! The fact that we both LOVE our new daughter-in-law was just icing on the cake.

I'm not sure who was happier, me because I got such a thoughtful, considerate and genuinely loving daughter-in-law or my son who won the wife jackpot.

Anyway, a good time was had by all.

Just wanted everyone to know that I still have coops available and Candy and I talked the other day about deploying another load if the interest is there before the powers that be decide to hamper yet again a successful reef building program that has achieved phenomenal results. Its really sad that we as fishermen and women have actually done more to help the bottom fishing stocks in the Northern Gulf Of Mexico than the government has and not cost them any taxpayer money in doing so! If any of you are interested in more reefs for your personal use please contact Candy. I would like to express my thanks to all the members of The ECRA for their contribution to the fishery over these last few years and hope that your barge reef is a great success!!!
Thanks
Capt. Mike Lilly :) :) :)
